Stolen by Lucy Christopher

Pages: 299

Genre: Romance, Mystery

Release Date: February 1st 2011

Gemma, 16, is on layover at Bangkok Airport, in route with her parents to a vacation in Vietnam. She steps away for just a second, to get a cup of coffee. Ty--rugged, tan, too old, oddly familiar--pays for Gemma's drink. And drugs it. They talk. Their hands touch. And before Gemma knows what's happening, Ty takes her. Steals her away. The unknowing object of a long obsession, Gemma has been kidnapped by her stalker and brought to the desolate Australian Outback. STOLEN is her gripping story of survival, of how she has to come to terms with her living nightmare--or die trying to fight it.

Personal Opinion:
****
I’m so overwhelmed by this book that I’m not even sure what to say, lets start with the writing, it was like nothing I have ever seen before, the concept of the book being a letter to Ty (the kidnaper) was brilliant. The descriptions of the desert in which they were in made me almost feel like I was in there with them too! Lucy Cristopher has definitely become my favorite writer, stolen was such a great book that all I can say is that I’m extremely glad I bought it, the theme of this story was completely powerful and realistic. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact it was so slow but at the same time necessary because Gemma needed time to get to know Ty. Still I didn’t love the fact that I had to wait until page 187 for something interesting to happen!
SPOILER ALERT! don’t read this if you haven't read the book
I loved everything about it! except for the fact that it made me cry so hard!! for all of you guys who read the book already plz tell me if you liked the ending!! because for me it was just a total heartbreaker! And was I the only one who fell in love with Ty? <3   I feel so sorry for him because he was obviously sick but he had good intentions! and even Gem understands why he did it at the end so why did he have such an unhappy ending?!! plz comment and subscribe!

  1. I loved this book! I loved the letter format. I also cried at the end. I had total Stockholder syndrome. The author is/was contemplating a sequel but nothing for sure. I would love a sequel.
