Easy by Tamara Webber

easy-book-cover

When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a breakup two months into sophomore year. After two weeks in shock, she wakes up to her new reality: she's single, attending a state university instead of a music conservatory, ignored by her former circle of friends, and failing a class for the first time in her life.

Leaving a party alone, Jacqueline is assaulted by her ex's frat brother. Rescued by a stranger who seems to be in the right place at the right time, she wants nothing more than to forget the attack and that night--but her savior, Lucas, sits on the back row of her econ class, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. Her friends nominate him to be the perfect rebound.

When her attacker turns stalker, Jacqueline has a choice: crumple in defeat or learn to fight back. Lucas remains protective, but he's hiding secrets of his own. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.

Personal Opinion:

Easy is a romance novel, this is not based in any life or experience of a real person but it regards a very real problem; rape. In this book the two main characters fall in love because they find comfort in each other while trying to cope with some problems. Both Lucas and Jacqueline are very strong and realistic characters, this book made me think about some issues that had never crossed my mind, like “do I know how to defend myself”. This book emphasizes the problems a person who is abused goes throw and the importance of knowing how to be prepared for an attack. The romance in this book is everywhere and as the relationship between the main characters grow so does the frequency of sexual scenes, this are not erotic at all but they succeed in putting a good image of what they are doing in your brain.

Because of the sexual content and the topics present in this book I strongly recommend that no person younger than 16 reads this material, but if you are older and mature I think this is one of those books that teaches something. So go and buy it because I´m sure the price will go up soon!
