Does the Nook work internationally?

Hello my beautiful followers and new viewers as well! I wanted to clarify something that isn´t clear on the internet about the nook! I live outside the United states and I purchased a nook risking the fact that I wouldn´t be able to download books from the store. I didn´t have this info because the comments and posts regarding this issue are mixed so here I will post the actual Barnes And Noble instructions about using your nook international.

This content was taken from the Nook guide that comes inside the device:

Appendix B: International use and Languages

This chapter summarizes information about using your NOOK outside of the United States and explains your Nook´s support of languages.

Using your NOOK abroad: Your NOOK is designed for use un the United States territories. You can use it to read anything already on your NOOk when travelling anywhere in the world. If you travel outside the United States, be aware of the following points regarding using your NOOK:

  • Purchasing a NOOK: You can only purchase a NOOK if you have a billing address in the United States.
  • Pre-ordering ebooks: you can only pre-order ebooks if you have a billing address in the United States. You cannot pre-order ebooks if you have an international or U.S territory billing adress. You can only pre- order content when physically within the United States. (including Alaska and Hawaii)
  • Purchasing digital content from the Barnes & Noble ebookstore on your nook: You can only purchase digital content if you have a billing adress in the United States. You cannot purchase digital content if you have an international billing address.
  • Registering and unregistering your NOOK: You can register and unregister your NOOk from anywhere that you have a wifi hotspot that your NOOK can use.

Languages:

The NOOK supports the next languages:

Afrikaans, Basque, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Icelandic, indonesian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Pomanian. Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.

By the way my book works just fine! a little temperamental! but again it does a great job, better than the kindle in my opinion! If you want to know more about the problems my nook has given me and how to solve them comment bellow!
